Full-Time

Firefighter/Paramedic

Monroe County Emergency Services

 

Monroe County Emergency Services is accepting applications for a Full-Time Firefighter/Paramedic.  Must have possession of the appropriate state emergency medical service certification as set forth by the Department of Human Resources and Composite State Board of Medical Examiners as well as the ability to meet current requirements set forth by the National Fire Protection Association and the Georgia Firefighters Stan­dards and Training Act.

  Hours are 24hrs. on shift and 48 hrs. off shift.  Applicant must provide copies of certifications (most current state Paramedic certification), transcripts, valid Georgia driverís license, copy of birth certificate, copy of Social Security card, and pass a background check.  Starting salary is $11.79 per hour.   Applications can be picked up at the Monroe County Board of Commissioners Office on the 3rd floor, 38 West Main Street, Forsyth, Georgia 31029 from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm, Monday thru Friday.   Monroe County is Drug Free Workplace and an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Part-Time

Family Connections Program Assistant

Monroe County Board of Commissioners

 

 

Monroe County Family Connection seeks a part-time program assistant.  The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and possess strong people skills.  Experience working in the community is desired.  Proficiency is needed in Microsoft Word, Outlook and other standard software applications.  Excellent organizational skills are also needed.  The ability to take direction and work independently with minimum supervision is required.  $16 per hour, 20 hours per week, with flexible schedule.  Bachelorís degree preferred, but combination of education and experience will be considered.  Some travel to Bibb County required.
